Last Saturday, I was scheduled to do a model shoot.  On the Thursday before, I talked Beth into heading downtown with me and let me shoot her.  I needed to test some new equipment I had gotten for the shoot. I’ve wanted to use her as a demo model for quite a while.  She’s both beautiful and friendly and that combination always makes a shoot go well. She tried to warn me that she hadn’t done this much before but to the contrary, she was a perfect model and did a terrific job.

Beth is an avid hula-hoop aficianado and was persuaded to bring a hula-hoop downtown with us.  Till the day I day I will not forget the looks of the drivers in the cars that went by as she stood in the road and hula-hooped.  As you can see below, it was totally worth it.

Last week, our neighbor, whose dog seems to absolutely love me and whom I often find on my front step waiting for me to play with her, needed a few new pictures of her three boys. For the last several years we watched all three boys grow up day by day.  Sometimes, when we come home at night, all three will be outside with squirt guns or a inflatable trampoline playing.

When we got the chance to do a informal, studio shoot of the three of them, we jumped at it.  All three boys did a great job.  Their behaviour was a testament to their mother’s maternal skills and the shoot was over in 10 minutes.  We’re very happy how them came out and above all, they are as well.

Vintage Girl

These four shots were taken about 4 months apart.  We did them as demo shots several months ago, but hadn’t yet put them up.  We’ve been busy finishing post-processing for several recent clients and decided to put these up for now in the interim.  We took them several months as promo shots.  Juliet is a great model and we’re looking forward to shooting her pictures for years to come.
